We aim
Our objective is to attain a Global Leadership Profile for the organization. Achieving this objective hinges equally on breaking new ground operationally as it does on creating and sharing contemporary knowledge and best practice. Specifically, we aim to:
Encourage Legislative and Elected Bodies to adapt to the modern world by adopting ICT-tools that will render their decision-making systems more efficient and transparent.
Become a leading organization for the debate over the necessary changes that will make Legislatures more effective and thus strengthen the democratic process.
Enhance the connection between citizens and Elected Bodies through education and public information and through the creation of innovative ICT-tools that will increase accountability between representatives and the represented.
Advance scientific and technological excellence and open source standards in this domain in collaboration with major public, academic and private actors.
Diffuse information and innovation to the community of public, academic, civil and private professionals and citizens through publications and expert consultancy. Undertake training targeted at the different stakeholders and end-users by organizing off and online events, forums, workshops, consultations, seminars and courses.
Develop, manage and participate in e-democracy and e-government initiatives and projects together with major public, academic and private actors in international, European, national, regional and local collaborative frameworks.
