Gov2u is successfully registered at the General Directorate for International Development Cooperation – “Hellenic Aid” of the Greek Foreign Ministry.
Hellenic Aid is the competent department in the Greek Foreign Ministry that coordinates and monitors programs of humanitarian and development aid. Within the framework of development diplomacy, the General Directorate for International Development Cooperation – Hellenic Aid is mainly competent for:
- Handling of the total amount of development assistance funding provided by the state budget as well as by ministries, organizations, public and private agencies for humanitarian and development assistance within the country and abroad.
- Monitoring and facilitating development programmes/projects carried out by public agencies, universities, NGOs and other civil society organizations.
- Collecting, processing and submitting to the OECD Development Aid Committee (DAC) statistical data on development assistance.
- Funding emergency humanitarian aid actions and programmes, restructuring and development programmes/projects, as well as development education and information regarding the promotion of voluntary work in Greece and developing countries.
- Supporting Greek participation in ECHO and Europe-Aid programmes as well as in programmes of the EU and other UN International Development Organizations.
